Adoption Process
So, you believe you have found the perfect match for you and your family. What next?
Once you have submitted an enquiry, our adoption coordinators will review your application, please allow up to 5 days for us to get back to you. We will get back to you as soon as possible and once we do, we may have some more questions for you or we may offer to give you a call to discuss further. Once we have covered all the basic questions, we will offer you a meet and greet.
What is a meet and greet?
A meet and greet is a time that we schedule for you to come and meet us, the foster carer, and the cat. All our cats are in foster care so please be patient while we organise this as we are all very busy. This allows you to meet the cat, see them in their current environment and as any questions you may have. We also take this as an opportunity to get to know you and ask any questions we may have.
What should I bring?
You will not be taking the cat home at the meet and greet (unless spoken about beforehand) so do not worry about bringing a cat carrier. Just bring yourself/ your family or anyone who would like to come as support.
I have had a meet and greet. Now what?
We encourage you to go away after the meet and greet to think/ discuss with your family if you think the cat is a good fit for you. You can let us know how you feel the next day and if you are ready to welcome a new family member, we will then organise a time for you to come and pick up your new cat/ kitten. At this appointment, we will have paperwork for you to fill out before you can take your cat home.
Congratulations, you can now go and enjoy your new purrfect friend!
